Meek Monday: Gratitude and Getting Back on Track

Hey, Musers, it has been a week since I popped into the blog I’ve missed you. I guess you can call it a season of refreshment and rest, but I’m back 🙂

Have you ever found it hard to develop a routine? Like seriously there’s 100 things you need to get done and making your bed seems to pale in comparison to the mountain of tasks. But this simple task sets a standard for the rest of your day. Similarly, but more impactfully is that something as important as gratitude to others and to God can suffer and get lost in the queue of tasks. Ingratitude is like cancer to your character. It is toxic and if left unchecked begins to shape your whole outlook on life promoting inward focus and dissatisfaction. Why you so sour, so defeated? Gratitude is not self-focused and is actually good for us.  I urge you to recentre your life because God is not the author of confusion. He may have you busy but he requires your thankfulness always in every season of life. I have found that gratefulness is actually joy producing. Try it for yourself. Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. We should be growing in this daily. Are we?

Everything that is good that I have known is due to my good, good God from whom all perfect gifts come from, He is my portion always. Today I’m grateful for God! For He is at work in my life giving me the passion to do what he wants from me. I’m grateful for life, for health, for my family and for the body of Christ. I’m grateful for every person who reads this post or likes or shares but also for those who don’t.  I am also thankful that I have a job to get up in the morning and do. I pray that how I go about my life truly shows this. The bible also tells us that at the end of this earth people will become increasingly ungrateful so ask yourself is that you today? It’s not too late to get gratitude.

First Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus

2 Timothy 3:2. Wicked people will be “ungrateful.”
